Disgrace

DISGRACE (2008) - Sept. 8, 2008
John Malkovich gives a really excellent performance -- probably one of his best, at least that I've seen -- in this otherwise mediocre film about a disgraced professor who moves in with his daughter in a remote farm in South Africa. This film has a few good things going for it, Malkovich's performance most notably, as well as competant direction and some reasonably powerful moments, but for the most part it just wasn't all that interesting, and it went on way longer than it needed. **1/2

hello , i live in the east side of Europe and i hunt this movie for about an year or so because i scented it will be a wonderfull performance in what concerns Malkovich .i really hope it will reabilitate his carrer and even won him an award .
what bothers me is that i get very little information about this movie and i'm very anxious to find out more untill it will air here. i heard that in america it wasn't released yet , there isn't even a trailer about ''disgrace'' and imbd users are greedy in displaying posts . So i have to content with veryy little pieces of information and with reading the book which i did recently. i find it brutaly interesting but very bleek . david lurie reminds me of a tragic character from a greek play as he persists in his conceptions about life and love , trigging a terrible misfortune. Anyway i really want to know more about the most important parts in this movie and about malkovich untill i can actually see it. here's my e-mail incase you want to tell me more about it sfeclitza@yahoo.com
